TODAY: It will be a cool, fall morning as temperatures fall to the upper 40s for the morning commute. Patchy fog will be possible where winds are light in low valleys this morning. Widespread dense fog is not anticipated. It will be a clear morning with winds from the northeast, becoming easterly this afternoon under 10 mph. Skies look to remain mostly sunny during the day, reaching the mid 60s.
TONIGHT: It looks to stay mostly clear through evening with high level clouds increasing overnight. Winds will shift overnight becoming southeasterly under 5 mph with lows dipping to the upper 40s overnight.
EXTENDED: High clouds will continue to increase during the day on Tuesday ahead of the next storm system that arrives late Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Areas north of I-70 look to see the next storm chance by midnight or so on Tuesday night. Areas south of I-70 look to see storms by daybreak on Wednesday. There will be a limited severe threat on Wednesday we’ll need to keep an eye on. Rainfall amounts Wednesday look to bring .10″ to 0.25″ near I-70 with areas north closer to 0.50.” Dry weather returns Thursday. Another cold front arrives by Friday night. This could bring a slight rain chance to areas east of HWY 54 by Friday evening. The upcoming weekend however, looks dry with above average temperatures of 5-8 degrees for the end October in the mid to upper 60s. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
