Starting Sunday, bridge work will close lanes of traffic

MODOT will work on three interstate bridges resulting in lane closures starting Sunday, Oct. 23rd.

MODOT says the work is purely maintenance.

Sunday evening at 8, work will be done on Interstate 70 westbound over the Missouri River at mile marker 115, east of the Boone/Cooper County line. The work should end around 5 a.m. on Monday.

During the same time period, crews will also be working on the Interstate 70 westbound entrance ramp over Hinkson Creek at Route 63.

Maitneance crews are also scheduled to work on Interstate 70 westbound over the Perche Creek at mile marker 121, east of U.S. Route 40 starting Sunday evening around 8 and finishing up on Wednesday, Oct. 26.

MODOT warns that drivers could see possible delays, however the work should be finished by the end of the week.

MODOT is asking that if anyone has any questions to call them at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) or visit www.modot.org/central.
