“Dry” Cold Frontal Passage Sunday Night

A cold front is knocking on Mid-Missouri’s door tonight; however, it won’t be bringing any rain chance overnight. Rain isn’t expected as the environment is simply too dry for any precipitation, or even clouds to form- we saw that all this weekend with clear blue skies. You can also see that from satellite and radar taken earlier Sunday evening as there are no clouds or rain approximately where the cold front is situated.

One thing this cold front will bring is a brief shot of cooler conditions after a warm Sunday. As you’re heading out the door tomorrow you might want to pack a heavier jacket as temperatures will be in the low to mid 40’s by 7 am. The chilliest temperatures will be areas further north as the cold air will have had more time to filter in after the cold front passes overnight.

Though this cold front isn’t expected to bring any precipitation chance, another one is expected to move in and bring a rain chance by Wednesday morning.
