Jefferson City police investigate armed robbery, suspects on the run

Two suspects are on the run after an armed robbery in Jefferson City.

Friday evening around 8 p.m. Jefferson City Police responded to the Sprint PCS store on Missouri Ave for reports of an armed robbery.

Officers tell ABC17 that after investigation they were able to conclude two male suspects entered Sprint, showed a handgun, and forced four victims into the back room of the store.

The suspects then stole multiple cell phones and fled the scene.

The victims were not injured during the robbery.

Witness say they saw the suspects leave in a dark vehicle, possibly a minivan.

Police are currently investigating possible leads in the case.
