Two suspects still at large after Lake Ozark traffic stop

Two suspects are still at large on Thursday after Miller County authorities found a methamphetamine lab and drug paraphernalia in the back of the suspects’ vehicle.

On Oct. 17 during a traffic stop at Lakeland Road and Highway W in Lake Ozark for a minor traffic violation, the suspects failed to stop their vehicle and fled the scene.

Miller County officials followed the suspects until they fled on foot on Storage Road in Miller County.

After unsuccessfully apprehending the suspects, officials found the incriminating material while towing the suspects’ vehicle.

The two suspects are believed to be Steven Wayne Smith, 30, of Camdenton and Mitchell Patrick Gambow, 34.

If you have any information about the suspects, call the Lake Ozark Police Department at 573-365-5371.
