Driver facing possible charges after crash in Jefferson City

One person is in recovery and one is facing possible charges after a crash in Jefferson City.

One car ran into the back of a jeep Wednesday night, causing it to hit a guardrail and flip over.

The driver of the Jeep was taken to University Hospital with non-life threatening injured. The driver of the car that hit the Jeep was taken into custody for alcohol related offenses. Both Eastbound lanes of highway 50 were closed for about an hour while crews investigated.
