Feeling more like summer this weekend

Southerly winds will transport unseasonably warm air into Mid-Missouri this weekend with rising temperatures through Monday. Overnight lows will stay mild, only dropping into the mid 60s as a few clouds pass through. High temperatures Saturday will reach near 80 with partly cloudy skies. It will feel more like spring as the southerly winds kick up, gusting as high as 28 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night, showers and t-storms are expected to develop in northern Missouri and gradually move east-southeast into Sunday morning, possibly clipping Macon, Monroe & Audrain counties through 8 AM Sunday.

Sunday will be the warmest day of the weekend. Temperatures will start off in the mid 60s and reach the mid 80s, well above the 30 year average high of 67. We’ll come close to the record high which is 86 set in 1950.
