Thursday afternoon, October 13
TODAY: After one of the coldest mornings we’ve seen in 6 months, temperatures this afternoon will struggle to seasonal levels. Our average high for this time of year is the upper 60s and we’ll barely reach 60 today. Although it will be cool, there will be plenty of sun with an easterly breeze under 6 mph.
TONIGHT: Clouds looks to increase this evening again for areas south of the Missouri River where there is a slight rain chance mainly after 3-4AM. Temperatures won’t be as cool overnight in the mid 40s with winds becoming southeasterly under 8 mph.
EXTENDED: The rain chance looks to end through 10AM on Friday leaving meager rainfall amounts near 0.20″ or less. Friday will be warmer with high temperatures reaching the upper 60s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. The warming continues for the weekend with high temperatures near 80 Saturday and lower 80s Sunday. There is a chance of t-storms Saturday night after 8PM through early Sunday morning. Sunday looks partly cloudy and mainly dry. Next week is trending warm for the third week of October. Average high temperature next week is 66-68, Monday and Tuesday look unseasonably warm in the low to mid 80s with possible storms returning midweek.
