Hot air balloon makes landing in residential neighborhood
At about 8:30 Thursday morning, 11 units responded to an apparent aircraft emergency at 3511 Longfords Mill Drive in Boone County.
According to initial reports, a hot air balloon had to make an emergency landing in the area.
ABC17 News reporters spoke with the pilot of the balloon. He said no one was hurt and it didn’t make an emergency landing.
He said he didn’t want to go into the forest that backs up to the Mill Creek neighborhood. He said it’s hard to always give an exact location of landing spots for the air balloons.
Crews cleared the scene just about 9:00 and the balloon was packed up as well.
