Bicyclist hit by van on the Katy Trail

A Jefferson City man is recovering after he was hit by a van in Callaway County on Saturday afternoon.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Micah Roberts, 20, was riding a bike when he was hit by a 2004 Ford Freestar van while crossing County Road 391 at the Katy Trail around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.

The driver , Ashley Korsmeyer, 33, of Holts Summit, was not hurt in the wreck.

Roberts was taken to University Hospital in Columbia by ambulance with moderate injuries and was later released.
