Friday afternoon, October 7

TODAY: Rain has come to an end across Mid-Missouri as the cold front has cleared most of the area. The clearing line for the clouds will take time getting here, until then temperatures will remain on the cool side. Highs today will only top out in the upper 50s and lower 60s, with winds out of the north/northwest under 12 mph.

TONIGHT: It will be cool, fall night and dry for high school football games with temperatures falling through the 50s in the evening hours. If winds become light enough, under 5 mph, we’ll need to watch for patchy fog late and early Saturday morning.

EXTENDED: After a cool morning, Saturday afternoon will be mild with high temperatures in the upper 60s to near 70 with sunny skies and light winds. Winds will shift to the south Sunday, bringing afternoon temperatures up into the lower 70s under mostly sunny skies. Tuesday looks to bring a slight rain chance to areas north of I-70 as a weak disturbance zips through bringing light rainfall. We’ll watch for a slight rain chance again on Wednesday, but next weeks rain looks to be minimal at this time. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
