Monday evening, October 3

TONIGHT: We’ll be dry overnight with a southeasterly wind at 4-8 mph. Lows will drop into the upper 50s to near 60 with a few clouds moving through.

TUESDAY: It will be warmer and breezy with afternoon highs near 80 and southeasterly winds at 8-16 mph under mostly sunny skies.

EXTENDED: A line of showers and t-storms will approach after 9 PM Tuesday and move east, with rain lingering into Wednesday morning south of HWY 54 in our southeastern counties. Temperatures will warm into the low 80s Wednesday with a slight chance of evening storms which will increase overnight in parts of Mid-Missouri. Storms are likely Thursday morning and again in the evening and overnight as a cold front approaches. There is a marginal severe threat Wednesday and Thursday for the potential of damaging wind and large hail with storms that move through. The cold front will be slow to move through, keeping rain chances going through Friday afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and cooler temperatures. Highs will only reach the mid 60s Friday. As of now, 1″ to 3″ of rainfall looks possible for areas west of US 63 by Friday night with areas east closer to 0.50″ to 0.75″. Cooler, dry weather moves in for the weekend with daytime highs in the mid 60s Saturday to near 70 Sunday and nights in the lower 40s.
