Marginal Risk for Severe Weather This Week
Parts of Mid-Missouri are under a Marginal Risk for severe storms on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Storms look to develop in eastern Kansas on Tuesday evening. If these can hold together, these could clip west Mid-Missouri before falling apart. There will be an ample amount of wind shear on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning where storms could produce 50 mph winds or greater. Areas included under the Marginal Risk are Brunswick, Sedalia, Marshall, and Warsaw. Forecast models are indicating storms should weaken by the time these reach US 63 early Wednesday morning. Timing for possible severe storms on Tuesday night near HWY 65, 1AM-4AM.
There will be plenty of dry time during the day on Wednesday. Storms look to be hit and miss where most areas north of I-44 are under a Marginal Risk on Wednesday afternoon.
Ingredients look more favorable for severe weather by Thursday afternoon and evening. With an ample amount of wind shear and some instability during the day, this may produce some severe storms capable of producing 50 mph winds or greater and heavy rain.
