Saturday morning, October 1
TODAY: The sun today will stay hidden by a thick layer of lingering clouds all day with the bulk of these clouds hanging north of I-70. Due to the clouds, conditions will remain cool today with the high reaching around 70 degrees accompanied by a northwest wind up to 6 mph. A few light showers are possible in the afternoon and evening east of US 63 with the low reaching to the upper 50s.
SUNDAY: The cloud layer begins the break by the afternoon for areas along and south of I-70. Sunday will warm up to a slightly warmer high in the lower 70s with conditions remaining dry for Mid-Missouri. Winds will remain calm for most of the day transitioning to a light 5 mph wind from the northwest the day on the comfortable side with mostly cloudy skies. Overnight lows stay pleasant with temperatures in the mid 50s.
EXTENDED: By Sunday, high pressure will settle into Mid-Missouri for the next few days. With that comes another warming trend becoming noticeable by Monday as temperatures will reach the low to mid 70s with a light north breeze. Next week looks to trend warmer with a southwest breeze picking up by Tuesday and Wednesday.
