Saturday Evening, October 1
TONIGHT: Clouds will continue to stick around overnight leading to a slightly warmer night ahead with a low dipping into the upper 50s. Feel free to keep your windows open as Mid-Missouri will remain rain free with light northwest winds up to 6 mph.
SUNDAY: Sunday morning will appear as gloomy as Saturday with persistent cloud cover but rain free conditions. Clouds will begin to break by the early evening but still expect mostly cloudy skies. Depending on exactly when these clouds dissipate and how much will dictate how much warmer Sunday will be but expect slightly warmer conditions with temperature highs in the lower 70s. Winds will remain calm for most of the day transitioning to a light 5 mph wind from the northwest. Overnight lows stay pleasant with temperatures in the mid 50s with partly cloudy skies.
EXTENDED: High pressure begins to build into Mid-Missouri and will lead to a warming trend to start your work week. Temperatures will climb above normal with highs in the upper 70s for Monday and Tuesday with clear and dry conditions. Rain and a few t-storms look possible by Wednesday through Friday next week as another cold front passes through Mid-Missouri. For additional weather updates follow @ABC17Stormtrack on Twitter.
