Deputies respond to clown sighting in east Boone County
A detective with the Boone County Sheriff’s Department says it has gotten a report of a clown sighting within the county.
Detective Tom O’Sullivan says deputies responded to the area of Carter School Road and Rangeline around 10:45 Wednesday night for the incident.
The detective says a security guard for Missouri Auto Auction Inc. there reported two people were wearing clown costumes and were watching him near the fence of the business.
Deputies say the caller reported the subjects were wearing striped clown costumes and clown masks.
They say when deputies arrived, they did not find anyone dressed as clowns in the area.
