Pizza delivery driver robbed in Jefferson City
On Tuesday, a Jefferson City pizza delivery driver said he was robbed at gunpoint while delivering a pizza in the 200 block of Marshall Street. According to the official press release, the Domino’s driver said he attempted to deliver a pizza to an apartment on Marshall Street. The customer said that he had not ordered a pizza, so the driver left the residence.
As he was walking back to his vehicle, a male suspect with a black hoodie confronted him with a handgun. The suspect demanded money, and also took some of the food the delivery driver was carrying. After obtaining cash from the driver, the suspect fled the area on foot and the driver contacted police shortly after.
The driver was not harmed. Officers responded to the area after it was reported and were unable to locate a suspect. Cole County deputies assisted with a K-9 search, which did not result in an apprehension or significant information.
