TODAY: Have an umbrella handy today! A passing cold front will bring a chance for rain by late Sunday morning and into the afternoon. The best chance for rain will be between noon and mid-afternoon. These storms are not expected to be severe, and will most likely be scattered with light to moderate rainfall Less than a 0.25″ of rainfall is expected for most areas, with localized areas reaching up to 0.5″. Counties west and along US 65 are expected to see the most rain out of this passing system. Clouds will increase throughout the day, keeping temperatures slightly cooler but still warm with highs in the low 80s. The rain chance will taper off by Sunday night leaving Mid-Missouri with a drier and cooler night with low temperatures in the mid 50s.
MONDAY: Expect a cool and dry start to your work week. Now looking at slightly below average temperatures, the high temperature Monday will sit near 70 degrees with the low temperature a brisk 50 degrees. Dry, sunny, and clear conditions will dominate all of Monday.
EXTENDED: The rest of the week will mimic Monday’s trend of cooler and dry conditions. Temperatures will slowly increase throughout the week, becoming seasonable by Wednesday with no rain chances.
