Sunday Evening, September 25

TONIGHT: A cold front will push through the area in the late evening and could bring a few additional showers to areas along I-44 with rainfall totals only around a tenth of an inch. Once the cold front passes we can expect to see some much cooler and drier air overnight, which will drop temperatures to the lower 50s.

MONDAY: It took several days for it to feel like fall with early weekend temperatures in the upper 80s but Mid-Missouri can finally expect some cool fall weather starting on Monday. Temperatures will be below average with a high near 70 degrees with very low humidity thanks to the cold front passing through overnight Sunday. Conditions will be sunny and clear leading to a chilly night with temperatures falling into the upper 40s. Monday is also marks the day which Mid-Missouri will see equal amount of daytime and nighttime at 12 hours a piece. Starting Tuesday the day will be shorter than the night, and it will stay that way till the end of the year.

EXTENDED: The rest of the week will mimic Monday’s trend of cooler and dry conditions. Temperatures will slowly increase throughout the week, becoming seasonable by Friday with no rain chances.
