Thursday Afternoon, September 22
TODAY: We’ll have a warm start to fall which officially started at 9:21 AM. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s to near 90 under partly cloudy skies with light southerly winds.
TONIGHT: Skies look to be mostly clear with temperatures in the mid 60s. Fog looks possible late tonight and early Friday morning thanks to radiational cooling and light south/southeasterly winds under 5 mph.
EXTENDED: Mid-Missouri will stay dry through the end of the week with daytime temperatures in the upper 80s through Friday. There is an isolated storm chance west of HWY 63 Saturday in the afternoon and evening, but most areas will stay dry and warm. A storm system will move into Mid-Missouri on Sunday bringing a better opportunity for thunderstorms from Sunday morning through Monday morning of next week with possible heavy rain. There will be a slight rain chance next Tuesday if this system slows down. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s Sunday. Next week looks cooler with more typical late September temperatures with highs returning to the mid to upper 70s, with nights falling to the 50s and possibly some upper 40s starting Tuesday.
