New Haven man convicted for enticement

A federal jury in Jefferson City convicted a New Haven man Thursday for attempting to entice a minor for sex.

27 year-old Jason M. Strubberg was charged following an January, 2016 investigation by the Boone County Cyber Crimes Task Force.

Strubberg responded to an undercover online advertisement that a deputy posted to seek out potential sexual predators. After exchanging information with the decoy, he set a meeting with who he believed to be a 14 year-old girl and her mother, and was arrested when he arrived at the location.

Strubberg is facing a minimum sentence of ten years in federal prison, and up to life in prison without parole. A sentencing date has yet to be set.
