Wednesday Evening, September 21

TONIGHT: Areas south of I-70 looks to stay mostly clear. Areas north may have more mid level and high level clouds this evening and overnight. Winds will remain from the south, keeping temperatures 10 degrees above normal in the mid 60s.

THURSDAY: We’ll have a warm start to fall which officially starts 9:21 AM. Temperatures will reach the upper 80s to near 90 under partly cloudy skies with light southerly winds.

EXTENDED: Mid-Missouri will stay dry through the end of the week with daytime temperatures in the upper 80s through Friday. There is an isolated storm chance west of HWY 63 Saturday but most areas will stay dry and warm. A storm system will move into Mid-Missouri on Sunday bringing a better opportunity for thunderstorms from Sunday afternoon through Monday morning of next week with possible heavy rain. Temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s Sunday. Next week looks cooler with more typical late September temperatures with highs returning to the mid to upper 70s, with nights falling to the 50s and possibly some upper 40s starting Tuesday.
