One killed in wrong-way crash on Highway 65

A multi-vehicle crash left one dead in Pettis County Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened on Highway 65 southbound when a car, driven by Mary Brandt of Green Ridge, was traveling the wrong way.

Brandt side-swiped one vehicle and hit another vehicle, driven by Paul Luetjen of Cole Camp, head-on.

Brandt was pronounced dead at the scene and Luetjen was transported to University Hospital for serious injuries.
