Jinson arrested in Cole County court
ABC 17 News confirmed a mid-Missouri contractor was arrested in court Tuesday for an outstanding warrant in Cole County.
Ken Jinson was charged in February on eight counts of deceptive business practice and theft.
ABC 17 News reported Jinson was accused of stealing a total of $22,000 from four customers in Cole County.
He appeared in court for a hearing on the charges Tuesday, but was arrested for an outstanding warrant in a separate case.
ABC 17 News has covered Jinson’s story since he was first arrested in May 2015. Several his customers contacted our reporters, saying they were ripped off for thousands of dollars and never got their money returned.
One of those customers, Douglas Bledsoe, went to Cole County Court Tuesday for Jinson’s court appearance only to find out the case would be continued once more.
Bledsoe paid Jinson last March to build a shed and refinish his basement to give his daughter and niece a space to live, but that never happened.
Bledsoe told ABC 17 News his family is having to improvise and is still paying for it.
“I’m trying to survive every day and try to still get things done for my family that I was supposed to have done with that money,” Bledsoe said. “Like my daughter and niece have a–they bought these two buildings here and making payments on them now. And we’re trying to fix them up as we go for a place for them to stay.”
Jinson’s next hearing on those charges will be November 18.
