One local Columbia business fails tobacco compliance check

Columbia police checked six businesses Friday to see if they were selling tobacco to underage buyers.

In the city of Columbia, buyers must be 21 years old or older to purchase any kind of tobacco products.

Five business passed and one failed.

Passed:

Hy-Vee 3100 W. Broadway Walmart, 3001 W. Broadway Petro Mart #41, 5612 St. Charles Road Casey’s General Store, 3905 Clark Lane Tiger Stop, 3500 Clark Lane

Failed:

Dollar General Store, 3020 Paris Road
