Columbia police officer’s vehicle strikes pedestrian

ABC 17 News has confirmed a Columbia police officer struck a pedestrian with his vehicle Wednesday evening.

Nicholas Wulff was making a left turn from Brown Station Road onto Paris Road, when he struck Laura Harrison as she was walking in a crosswalk on the south side of the intersection.

Harrison, who did not yield to the crosswalk light, suffered a minor injury to her elbow, police said.

The investigation is continuing.
