Gun shots fired in two different Columbia neighborhoods Sunday morning

ABC 17 News has confirmed gun shots were fired in two different Columbia neighborhoods early Sunday morning.

The first incident happened just after 2 a.m. Police found shell casings at the intersection of Providence and Rain Forest Parkway.

The second incident happened around 5 a.m. in the 1400 block of Greensboro Drive. Our crews were on scene this morning while officers were searching for shell casings. On scene they found multiple shell casings in the area.

A vehicle that was at the 1400 block of Greensboro was hit several times by bullets. Two separate garage doors in the area were also hit.

No reports of injuries in either shooting.

We also checked dispatch records, and this is the first call for shots fired or heard at Greensboro Drive this year.
