Jeff Mizanskey’s one year of freedom

On September 1, 2015, Jeff Mizanskey was released from prison after more than two decades of maximum security incarceration.

Mizanskey was the only person in Missouri serving life in prison, with no chance for parole, for non-violent marijuana offenses.

After my visits to Jefferson City Correctional Center over the last couple years, Jeff Mizanskey visits me in the ABC 17 News studio.

As my guest for “This Week,” he starts our conversation by explaining how he’s adjusting to his new freedom. Click below to watch our chat, or click here to see our extended conversation.
