Centralia schools to dismiss at regular time following lockdown
Centralia schools will dismiss at regular times Thursday following a midday lockdown, according to the school district.
The lockdown began around noon Thursday. The district sent out a message to parents saying the lockdown is related to Wednesday’s standoff in Mexico. The suspects from that incident, as well as from a shooting in Pike County earlier this week, were spotted in Centralia, and the lockdown was activated as a precaution.
