ABC 17 Back to School Food Drive

The ABC 17 News team is joining forces with The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri to make sure students start school on the right track – with full bellies!

August 15 – 19, Stop by your favorite Columbia or Jefferson City HyVee and donate food items for the Food Bank’s Buddy Pack program.

The Buddy Pack program helps students in need at more than 150 schools across Mid-Missouri. Just look for the Food Bank bins.

The drive wraps up at the West Broadway HyVee in Columbia at 6:00 p.m. Friday. You might even see some of the ABC 17 News team when you drop in.

Here’s a list of some Food Bank Buddy Pack-friendly items you can donate:

Peanut Butter

granola bars

fruit cups

cereal

shelf-stable milk

ready-to-eat entrees

soup with an easy to pull tab (no can opener needed)

Any donation helps! Monetary donations are welcome.
