Columbia Police investigate shooting on Sylvan Lane

Police responded to reports of a shooting Sunday night right before midnight on Sylvan Lane and Whitegate Drive.

When officers arrived, they found bullet shell casings in the street in front the 1500 block of Sylvan Lane. Police also found damage to a home in the neighborhood.

There was no one injured in the incident.

Police do not have a suspect in custody, but the investigation in ongoing.

Back in April, Police responded to the same block when 24 year-old Gabrille Rhodes was killed. There have no arrests made in the homicide.
