Mental health investigation blocks roadway in Jefferson City

UPDATE: The scene is clear. Jefferson City Police told our ABC 17 News crews there was a mental health investigation, but it has been resolved. There are no reported injuries.

ORIGINAL STORY: There is a large police presence at the 1100 block of Fairland Road in Jefferson City.

A viewer tells ABC 17 News there’s about a dozen police officers blocking the road and waving people away from the scene.

According to the viewer, one JCPD officer went to his car and put on a helmet and vest and grabbed an assault rifle.

ABC 17 News is working to confirm if there is a weapon involved.
