Crashes cause traffic back up on I-70 in east Columbia
UPDATE: The crashes are cleared and traffic is moving regularly.
ORIGINAL: A series of crashes along I-70 in east Columbia are causing traffic to back up right now.
According to Boone County Joint Communications, both westbound lanes are closed, and eastbound traffic is down to one lane between the Highway 63 and Lake of the Woods exits.
There’s no word on any injuries at this point. ABC 17 News has a crew on the way to the scene and will have updates on our 6 p.m. newscast.
