Drivers could expect delays on I-70 for a few weeks

Drivers traveling to the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, heading off to college or getting last minute vacations in before labor day, could see a increase in traffic on I-70 the next few weeks.

MoDOT wants to remind people traveling near the Lamine River Bridge, that the interstate is reduced to one lane in each direction for the bridge repair project. The project is one out of fifteen work zones on the I-70.

During the construction MoDOT says traffic delays have ranged from 20-40 minutes on peak travel days, Friday thru Sundays.

The Lamine River Bridge is expected to be completed the end of August.
