Harold Brantley and Walter Brady kicked off Mizzou Football team

Mizzou defensive linemen Walter Brady and Harold Brantley have been dismissed, a team spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday.

The team said Brady was dismissed from the program for a violation of team policy, but would not elaborate. Brantley was kicked off for “failing to fulfill academic expectations.” Brantley missed the entire 2015 season for injuries sustained in a car crash on Father’s Day of 2015.

Brantley was expected to be a force on the defensive line this upcoming season. In 2014, he registered 54 tackles and 5 sacks, becoming a key player on a line that featured Markus Golden and Shane Ray that season.

Brady, who was named a freshman All-American, is another significant loss for the Tigers. He stepped up for the Tigers as the season went on, finishing with 39 total tackles and 7 sacks.

Mizzou Football starts training camp Thursday afternoon.
