A convicted felon facing several gun charges

Around 7 p.m on Tuesday night, The Boone County Sheriffs Department arrested 40 year-old Ernest Stevens for possession of a shotgun.

Deputies responded to reports of hearing gunshots on Nelson Drive in North Columbia.

It is illegal for Stevens to posses guns because he is a convicted felon, but he has bonded out of jail as of Wednesday morning.
