Radar Estimates over 6″ of rain in 48 hours

As of 8AM Tuesday morning, parts of Mid-Missouri had picked up 5″ of rainfall since midnight, this includes parts of Callaway county, closer to Fulton, and in Audrain county, just south of Mexico. Parts of Monroe county exceeded 3″ this morning, leading to impassable roads closer to HWY 24.

Due to the heavy rain late Sunday night and early Monday morning, several river levels are under Minor Flood Stages including the Lamine River at Otterville, the Grand River at Sumner, and the Petite Saline Creek at Boonville. The Moreau River at Jefferson City is approaching a Minor Flood Stage this morning, but should remain under 17′.

Moderate Flooding is occurring along the Blackwater River at Blue Lick through Thursday at 8AM before falling to a Minor Flood Stage Thursday morning and Friday.

Several roads ways are closed in Pettis and Saline counties including Route B near Basin Fork. Highway 127 is closed near the south fork Blackwater River. Heaths creek is flooding, and resulting in route t being closed.

Storms Tuesday morning resulted in road closures including county roads 132, 134 and route Z in Callaway, HWY 24 at route A, and HWY 15 at 3 separate locations in Monroe County. Big Spring in Montgomery is showing HWY K also flooded.
