One man shot in west Columbia

Columbia Police are investigating a shooting that happened Friday night near Pennant Street and Worley Street.

According to CPD, officers were sent to a shots fired call in the area at 10:42 p.m.

When they got to the scene, they were contacted by Joint Communications that a man was at the hospital with a gunshot wound. He had non-life threatening injuries.

Officers met with the 22-year old Columbia resident at the hospital.

Police found three cars that were hit with bullets as well as one house.

Columbia Police Department Detectives and Forensic Evidence Unit were called to the scene to gather information and evidence.

There is no suspect information to release at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
