Callaway County deputies make arrest in stealing investigation

Callaway County deputies have arrested a man from Steedman in connection with a stealing investigation out of the St. Louis area.

Police in Eureka had been looking into the thefts of two iPhones from visitors to Six Flags St. Louis. Investigators tracked the phones to a home on Pawnee Drive, southeast of Fulton.

While searching the home, deputies found the phones, as well as marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They arrested Michael Crotchett, 30, on suspicion of receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing, and more charges could be filed.
