Emergency lane closure issued for Cherry Street in Downtown Columbia
UPDATE: Columbia Public Works confirms the repairs have been completed.
Columbia Public Works has issued an emergency lane closure on Cherry Street between Seventh and Eighth Street while crews repair a sanity sewer tap.
The closure went into effect Tuesday and the repairs are expected to be finished Wednesday.
Lane restrictions will be in effect while the repairs are being done. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route, such as Broadway or Locust Street.
Columbia Public Works has not issued a specific time when the repairs will be completed Wednesday. ABC 17 News will update this post as soon as we learn more.
