Second suspect in Boone County chase arrested
Update 7/15: The second suspect in an alleged car chase with Columbia Police has been arrested.
Boone County authorities said early Friday morning they arrested 17-year-old Tre Gasaway in the 100 block of Redwood Road.
Gasaway is in the Boone County jail.
Update 7/14: One suspect allegedly involved in a Wednesday evening car chase with Columbia police is behind bars in the Boone County jail.
Boone County Authorities said one of the Volkswagen’s occupants, 17-year-old Darius Garza of Columbia, was arrested without any issues in the 100 block of South Heather Lane.
Gaza was arrested for Resisting Arrest and Tampering in the second degree.
He is currently behind bars on a $1,000 bond.
Wednesday: The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is searching for two suspects after a late afternoon chase.
A deputy told ABC 17 News two black men seen in the van escaped after crashing into the Harmony Creek, just west of the Columbia Mall. A tow truck removed the van from the creek, up a steep embankment at the corner of Worley Street and Fairview Road. A COMO COnnect bus driver told ABC 17 News he saw the two men driving the suspected stolen van wearing white T-shirts as the sped by the mall, with law enforcement in pursuit.
