Fire causes heavy damage to home in Sunrise Beach
An early-morning fire caused heavy damage to a home in Sunrise Beach on Thursday.
According to the Sunrise Beach Fire Protection District, the fire started shortly after midnight. When firefighters got to the house, they found heavy flames inside the home.
It took a little more than an hour to get the fire under control. No one was inside at the time, but the fire damaged much of the home and items inside. One firefighter got minor injuries while fighting the fire, but is already back at work.
There’s no word on how the fire started, but firefighters believe it to be accidental.
