Crash creates delays on Highway 63 in Columbia

One lane of Highway 63 was back open Wednesday night following a crash.

Emergency crews responded to the wreck on Highway 63 in Columbia just before 9:30 p.m.

Two cars were involved. Officials on the scene say it happened when one car apparently died in the middle of the highway and another car hit it.

There were no traumatic injuries but some of those involved were taken to the hospital.

One northbound lane of 63 was back open just after 10:00 p.m. to drivers, after crews had diverted traffic to the Grindstone Parkway exit.
