Nearly 600 residents in Boone County without power

Hundreds of Boone County residents woke up in the dark Wednesday morning as strong storms made their way through Mid-Missouri.

According to the Columbia Water and Light outages map, more than 500 residents were without power in central Columbia.

Boone Electric Cooperative reports nearly 100 residents in North Boone County were without power following the storms.

Columbia Water and Light crews are on scene working to fix the outages.
