Water main break at State St. and Jackson St. in Jefferson City

There is a water main break at State Street and Jackson Street in Jefferson City.

Officers noticed water running around 9:30 p.m.

It took about an hour for the water department to get on the scene. They are currently working to shut off the water.

The 100 block of Jackson Street is closed at this time.

It is expected to be resolved this evening.

The cause in currently unknown.
