Three teens drown in Missouri in one day
Three teenagers have drowned in just one day.
The first is a 13 year-old girl who drowned in Ozark County in the North River.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the teenager went underwater just after 5:30 Saturday evening and never resurfaced.
She was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later.
This is an addition to two other teenage boys–ages 17 and 18–who drowned around 8 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Missouri Highway State Patrol, both boys were in the beach area of Castlewood State Park at the Meramac River.
They say the water became too deep and the boys tried to swim to shore, but never resurfaced.
