Suspect in Miller County search captured
UPDATE 6:50 p.m. – The Miller County Sheriff’s Office confirms deputies arrested Evan Gamm around 6 p.m. Thursday. Sheriff Bill Abbott said Gamm was found sleeping in an apartment in Kaiser and was taken into custody without incident.
He’s being held in the Miller County Jail.
Original: Deputies have identified the man they’ve been looking for since Thursday morning, when they say he led law enforcement on a chase.
Evan Gamm has six active warrants at this time, five from Miller County and one from Osage County. Early Thursday, deputies say Gamm didn’t pull over when a deputy tried to stop him, and instead lead authorities on a chase along Highway 42.
At one point, deputies say Gamm turned onto Highway 134, abandoned his vehicle, and ran into the woods. After several hours of searching for Gamm, aided by K9 units, deputies called off the search.
The suspect is not considered armed or dangerous to the public. If you have information on Gamm’s whereabouts, call the Miller County Sheriff’s Office at (573) 369-2341, or by e-mail at tips@millercountysheriff.com
