There will be nine board members and the student representative to the board present for this week’s meeting in Columbia.

So far curators say they are happy with the progress they’re making, but say they are still not done with choosing characters.

Curators discussed the different qualities they were looking for in a president Thursday and what the university needs.

An MU spokeswoman tells us while the board hopes to appoint the new president by the end of the calendar year, there is not a firm deadline on the presidential search to ensure the best candidates are considered for the position.

At Thursday’s meeting, curators swore in four new members, including a new student representative.
