Rock Quarry in Columbia reopened after it was shut down due to crash

UPDATE: Rock Quarry is now reopened.

ORIGINAL STORY: A south Columbia road was shut down in both directions Tuesday morning due to a crash.

It happened around 8:30 Tuesday morning in the 2400 block of Rock Quarry Road, near Stags Way.

Boone County EMA sent an alert saying both lanes of the road were shut down due to the wreck.

Public dispatch records show at least five emergency units responded to the scene.

ABC 17 News is hearing reports that a vehicle flipped over on the road. Scanner traffic also indicated a possible extrication at the scene.
