Fulton police looking for handcuffed suspect

The Fulton police department is looking for a man who escaped from a police car Wednesday night in handcuffs.

Fulton officers told ABC 17 News that 22-year-old Joseph Christmas, of Auxvasse, reportedly walked out of Moser’s at 2020 N. Bluff Street with a stolen $50 bottle of liquor.

After viewing surveillance video from the grocery story, police said Christmas was spotted coming out of a nearby store.

Officers put Christmas in handcuffs and placed him inside an unmarked police vehicle.

Christmas was able to escape and ran from officers.

Police were unable to find Christmas, who was last seen running southeast from the business.

Officers believe Christmas could be driving a gray Ford SUV with Missouri license UK2-V3W.

Christmas faces possible charges of stealing, resisting or interfering with an arrest, escape from custody and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia.
